My wifes 8 year old doesn’t like her dad at all every time he comes down to pick up her big brother she outright says shes not going with him. It makes me wonder what did he do to her? She use to go when she was 4, 5 , 6 ,7 years old. my wife think now she is getting older having more of opinion about him she just doesn’t like him. Her dad doesn’t even try to communicate or spend time with her. He could call her and do facetime the only thing he does is give her hugs probably says “he loves her” but I wonder if she actually feels like shes loved by him?
I realize over the past few years I’ve built a great bond with her she seems to think of me more as father figure then her own dad. per her drawings with the words “Step dad” instead of “dad”. I hone
